What we are doing in terms of sustainability to drive the transformation of the construction industry.
Many companies in the construction industry want to actively drive forward the sustainable transformation. In practice, however, it is often unclear how this change can be implemented in practice - especially with regard to the skills required for this, where there is still room for improvement in many places. To address precisely this issue, scientists at Fraunhofer IRB have developed the “Green Skills Compass” - a practical tool for the analysis and targeted development of sustainability skills (green skills) within the construction and real estate industry. The compass enables companies in the sector to “zoom in” on various areas of expertise based on specific job profiles. This makes it possible to identify relevant skills requirements - for example in the areas of circular construction, resource efficiency or ESG - and derive targeted measures for training and further development.
