Ulrich Blum is a Senior Associate for workplace design at Zaha Hadid Architects. After studying at HTWG Konstanz and the Architectural Association in London, he gained experience working for globally recognised architecture firms, including OMA Asia, Gehry Technologies in Hong Kong and Zaha Hadid. At Gehry, Uli Blum utilised computer programs from the automotive and aerospace industries to plan buildings and learned to implement complex building forms using methods now referred to as the BIM method.


Since 2012, he has been a Senior Associate at Zaha Hadid Architects in London. In 2015, Blum launched Zaha Hadid Architects' Workplace Design department, ZH Analytics and Insights, to address changing work environments. By integrating parametric design, he enhances office planning to foster collaboration. The firm's fluid spatial transitions promote flexibility and connectivity, aligning with modern workplace trends. Additionally, since 2017, Uli Blum has been teaching as a professor for digital design and construction at Münster School of Architecture.
